On September 8, 2021, Reaching Out California volunteers delivered 240 brand new shirts for distribution to homeless men and women served by The People Concern. Reaching Out California was delighted to be able to fulfill The People Concern's entire clothing request for 120 people: 30 short sleeve-shirts and 30 long-sleeve shirts in each of the four most popular adult sizes (Medium, Large, Extra Large, and Extra Extra Large), as well as a new pair of socks for each homeless recipient.
The People Concern strives to end homelessness and domestic violence by providing care and support for those experiencing it, through housing and integrated services tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Its staff, volunteers, and those served by its personnel and services work together to address the effects of homelessness, poverty, mental and physical illness, abuse and addiction. Astoundingly, 93% of program participants placed in permanent housing by The People Concern never experience homelessness again.
Thank you, The People Concern, for your partnership and for the great work you do!
